To all the Sephardic Anousim/anusim moms and daughters out there! Here is my mama Francis Serrano cooking vegetable lentil soup for us! She had all the customs of a Sefardita in her cooking, her koshering of meat with salt, not allowing any blood spots on our eggs, making us bunuelos and creamy potato pancakes…Blessed be her memory.
